Reviews of PureBasic

When it comes to reviewing the PureBasic software development platform, one thing that stands out is its collaborative nature. As a developer who has worked on various projects using PureBasic, I have always tried to reorganize my notes and resources in a systematic way, so they are easily accessible next time I need them.

The idea of creating a repository for PureBasic resources dawned on me when I realized that over time, I had accumulated lots of resources and notes while working on different projects. These resources were mostly buried within each project's working folders, making it difficult to find what I needed quickly. With the PureBASIC Archives project, I hope to encourage users to contribute their own resources to the project.

The repository stores documents and tutorials in both source format (Markdown or AsciiDoc) and distribution format (HTML, doc, PDF, etc.). By cloning the repo, end-users can download a copy of all the project's resources, which become locally available at all times and are extremely easy to update and maintain through Git.

The revamped documentation website for PureBasic Archives is currently under development, with some HTML Live preview links available to give users an idea of what to expect. The estimated release date for the new version is December 2017/January 2018 (optimistically). In the meantime, an early access Alpha version is publicly available in a temporary GitHub repository.

The PureBasic Archives project is currently being redesigned to become a fully browsable HTML project, both online through GitHub Pages and locally. This redesign will be powered by Butler, a static, flat-file content management system written entirely in PureBASIC that relies on PP, pandoc, and Highlight to generate HTML documentation from pandoc-markdown source files.
